The Lagoons master plan was launched in 2005 as a region of the Mohammed Bin Rashid City community in Dubai. The project was meant to include residential and commercial buildings, shopping complexes, and two skyscrapers, all connected by bridges. Emaar ultimately brought up the project in 2013.
The Lagoons were reintroduced with a unique project as a collaborative venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holdings. Emaar created the Dubai Creek Harbour sub-community, a massive assignment that spreads 1,606 acres of land along the Dubai Creek’s banks. Dubai Creek Harbour’s most renowned projects are the Dubai Creek Residences and the Dubai Creek Tower, a six-tower residential community. The Lagoons is a work-in-progress that is being constructed one community at a time. For the time being, the main focus is on Dubai Creek Harbour. Most of the residential assignments are either being constructed or are in the planning phases.
The Lagoons district is easily encountered near Dubai Festival City and Ras Al Khor Road, delivering straightforward access to Dubai’s main hubs like Business Bay and Downtown Dubai. It includes Riviera-style residential complexes that mix nicely with the dense verdant terrains and shining creekside at the district’s rims, as well as a wealth of recreational activities and eateries.
The Lagoons are situated along the shore of Dubai Creek and provide a lifestyle equivalent to that of Venice, a popular tourist location. This historic waterfront destination offers a tranquil yet bustling way of life. Most of the residential structures here are designed in stylish architectural styles. The community is covered by green landscapes and is close to the lake, creating an ideal calm environment. Residents may also find stylish high-end boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and retail and entertainment alternatives in the region.
In this pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, citizens may unwind and relish the relaxed atmosphere. Parks paved walking trails with fountains, trees, and cafes abound in the interconnecting sub-communities.
The community’s major appeal is its closeness to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located on the Dubai Creek Harbour beachfront. More than 450 species of animals, comprising kingfishers, grey herons, the show-stopping pink flamingos, and eagles, call this covered area home. Citizens can visit the vibrant nature from their houses, which is just a short distance away.
Villas, apartment communities, and townhouses make up most of the properties in The Lagoons. In the district, there are presently 12 different residential structures with world-class comforts. In Dubai Creek Harbour the apartments vary from one to three bedrooms, with three and four-bedroom penthouses available.
There are also luxurious townhouses and villas in the area. 3 and 4-bedroom villas are delivered, when 2 and 3-bedroom townhouses are available. The Lagoons apartments have stunning views of the Dubai cityscape and the waterfront path and the Dubai Creek Harbour marina. The area also has fantastic public transportation access and is close to many tourist areas, restaurants, and shopping malls.
The community’s sophisticated seaside lifestyle attracts both ex-pats and Emiratis since it offers numerous rented and freehold houses. Along with the marina lifestyle, numerous citizens of The Lagoons like the area close to Dubai’s commercial districts, like Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, and Bur Dubai.
Owners and tenants of the Lagoons residences have designated parking spaces. The number of dedicated parking spaces varies by residential unit, with larger units receiving two parking spaces in some buildings. Within the buildings, there are plenty of visitor parking places. Private parking garages are available in the community’s villas and townhouses, which may accommodate up to two automobiles.
The Lagoons have direct access to Ras Al Khor Road, making it especially convenient for individuals who drive about town. Creek Metro Station is the only metro station in the area. The Creek Metro Station lies near Dubai Creek Harbour, at the southern end of Al Jaddaf.
